Back to 3rd Australian Tunnelling Company

Hulluch - Vermelles Sector

The 3rd Australian Tunnelling Company left the most comprehensive War Diary of any of the Tunnelling companuies.  The diaries span the years 1915 thru 1919 and include several sketches of the Aid Posts, Dugouts, Tunnels and other works undertaken by 3ATC during their time on the Western Front.

The Company also left a most comprehensive document that runs to some 118 pages  and includes written accounts of the Companies history, activities and personnel, extracts from which are indicated as ‘End of War Report’.

Drawn from both these records, this section deals with some of the Companys’ time in the Hulluch - Vermelles Sector.
